The construction of the 600,000-ton-per-year carbon-based new materials project by Qiangqiang Carbon has officially commenced.

On the morning of December 15, the General Office of the Autonomous Region Party Committee and the General Office of the Autonomous Region People's Government jointly held a集中 opening and completion ceremony for industrial park projects across the region. Sub-venues were set up in all cities throughout the region, with the Qinzhou sub-venue located at the base of the Qiangqiang Carbon Materials Project—a new carbon-based materials project with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons—situated in the Jinwo Industrial Park. Wang Xiongchang, Deputy Secretary of the Qinzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of the Municipal People's Government, announced the official launch of construction of the Qiangqiang Carbon Materials Project, which has an annual output capacity of 600,000 tons of new carbon-based materials. Zhong Hengqin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Qinzhou Municipal Party Committee, Executive Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, as well as Tang Shaoying, Deputy General Manager of Guangtou Group, attended the event and delivered speeches.

On July 17, the 100,000-ton-per-year lithium-battery anode material precursor project of Luoyang Honglian New Materials was smoothly handed over for commissioning. From the start of construction on August 15, 2023, to its completion and handover, the project took just one year, successfully setting a new record for construction speed among industrial projects in the region.

On August 7, coinciding with the 24th anniversary of Betray Group’s establishment, the first phase of Betray Indonesia’s 160,000-ton-per-year negative electrode material project (with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons) officially went into operation. Attending the commissioning ceremony were President Joko Widodo of the Republic of Indonesia, Minister of Coordinating Maritime Affairs and Investment Mr. Luhut, Minister of Coordinating Economic Affairs Mr. Airlangga, Minister of Manpower Ms. Ida, Minister of Investment Mr. Bahlil, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Mr. Arifin, Chairman of Betray Mr. He Xueqin, and Executive Vice Chairman and General Manager Mr. Huang Youyuan.

On August 3, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for the second-phase project of the industrial-scale R&D platform for lithium-ion battery negative electrode materials and graphene, constructed by the Jian'an Branch of Guangxi Construction Engineering No.1 Group.
