On November 4, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico made a special visit to Hefei during his official trip to China to inspect Gotion High-Tech. On November 4, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico made a special visit to Hefei during his official trip to China to inspect Gotion High-Tech. Slovak Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Denisa Saková, along with senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and diplomatic missions, accompanied him on the visit.
Before the inspection, Liang Yanshun, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Wang Qingxian, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor, held a working meeting with Fico and his delegation. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening practical cooperation in areas such as automobiles, new energy, cultural tourism, and science and education. Li Zhen, Chairman of Guoxuan High-Tech, was present at the meeting. During the session, Prime Minister Fico stated, “Guoxuan High-Tech’s investment in Slovakia is expected to become an important milestone in China-Slovakia relations.”
Having received a battery cell model and a charging station, Prime Minister Fico jokingly suggested “launching a new business.”
During his visit to the Guoxuan High-Tech headquarters exhibition hall, Prime Minister Fico asked in detail about battery pack assembly methods and the technological advantages of solid-state batteries. At the verification center, he listened carefully to a briefing on battery testing and validation procedures.
At the West Street Auto Show, Prime Minister Fico carefully examined new-energy vehicles equipped with Guoxuan batteries, including models from Chery, JAC, Changan, Geely, Leapmotor, Great Wall, and Seres.
Chairman Li Zhen presented Prime Minister Fico on the spot with a standard battery cell model and six Yi Jia Electric smart mobile charging stations. In response to this special gift, Prime Minister Fico smiled and joked, “Now we can launch a new business!”
During the visit to the UC factory at the new site, Prime Minister Fico highly praised Guoxuan High-Tech’s standard battery cell manufacturing technology and discussed with the company issues related to Guoxuan’s planned factory investment in Slovakia.
The visit to Guoxuan left a deep impression; Prime Minister Fico hopes that China-Slovakia cooperation will serve as a model.
Chairman Li Zhen stated: “With the care of Prime Minister Fico and the support of the Anhui Provincial Government, we are eager to work together with InoBat to turn this collaborative project into a benchmark enterprise for new energy in Europe. We also look forward to joining forces with Slovak scientists and entrepreneurs to make positive contributions to Slovakia’s energy transformation, Europe’s energy transition, and the advancement of human energy civilization.”
As the visit drew to a close, Prime Minister Fico expressed deep emotion, saying that the trip to Guoxuan had been truly impressive. It not only gave the delegation a deeper understanding of China’s new energy industry but also further strengthened their confidence in Guoxuan. The Slovak government will hold a special meeting to thoroughly discuss and fully promote future cooperation projects with Guoxuan. We hope this project will serve as a model for China-Slovakia cooperation, and we wish that the friendship between China and Slovakia will endure forever, and that our collaboration with Guoxuan will last long into the future.
