On March 6, 2025, Lü Liangquan, member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of China Petrochemical Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “Sinopec”), along with a delegation—including Tian Hongbin, General Manager of the Refining Business Division; Wang Miaoyun, Executive Director and Party Secretary of Hunan Petrochemical; Ren Jiajun, Executive Director and Party Secretary of the Refining & Marketing Company; and Hu Songwei, Manager of the Refining & Marketing Planning Office in the Development Planning Department—visited the Meixi Lake Management Headquarters of the New Energy Materials Division of Zhongke Electric to conduct an inspection and exchange visit. Yu Xin, Chairman of Zhongke Electric, and Zhang Bin, General Manager of the New Energy Materials Division of Zhongke Electric, together with senior company executives, provided full-scale hospitality throughout the visit.

Lü Lianggong and his delegation paid a thorough visit to the company’s R&D and testing center, gaining an in-depth understanding of Zhongke Xingcheng’s latest achievements in negative electrode material R&D, innovation in production processes, and expansion of market applications, and they gave these efforts high praise.

During the subsequent symposium, both sides engaged in an in-depth exchange on future directions for cooperation. Lü Lianggong pointed out that negative electrode materials, as a key component in the fields of new energy and new materials, hold broad application prospects and strategic value. Sinopec will further strengthen its collaboration with Zhongke Xingcheng to jointly explore innovative applications of carbon materials in the new-energy lithium-ion battery sector and promote deeper cooperation between the two parties in areas such as technological R&D and industrial chain synergy. Yu Xin stated that the company will continue to uphold the development philosophy of innovation-driven growth, increase investment in R&D, enhance the core competitiveness of its products, and work hand-in-hand with Sinopec to jointly lead the transformation and breakthroughs in the negative electrode materials industry.

This visit and exchange not only deepened mutual trust and cooperation between the two sides but also laid a solid foundation for future collaborative development. Both sides unanimously expressed that they would take this exchange as an opportunity to continuously strengthen strategic alignment, deepen resource sharing, and jointly promote the high-quality development of the negative electrode materials industry. Together, they will contribute their wisdom and strength to China’s new energy and new materials industries, help achieve the “dual carbon” goals, and write a new chapter in green development.
