February 19-20, 2025 , by China Carbon Network Hosted in Changsha, Hunan Province “2025 China Carbon New Materials Industry Conference & Customer Dialogue Meeting” The conference has concluded successfully. This event is the most officially authoritative industry conference in China, covering a wide range of topics and enterprises across the entire carbon新材料 industrial chain—including lithium-ion battery negative electrode materials, petroleum coke, graphite electrodes, needle coke, natural graphite, synthetic graphite, carbon for steelmaking, carbon for aluminum production, pre-baked anodes, cathode carbon blocks, coal tar pitch, electrode paste, graphite crucibles, calcined coal, equipment for negative electrode materials, graphitization equipment, environmental protection equipment, screening equipment, flue gas and tail gas treatment equipment, dust removal equipment, refractory materials, and dozens of other related fields.
2025 marks the concluding year for achieving the goals and tasks set forth in the 14th Five-Year Plan. As we enter this critical phase of wrapping up the 14th Five-Year Plan, China’s carbon industry finds itself at a new starting point—and we are also witnessing a fresh growth opportunity for the industry. With the increasingly evident emergence of new-quality productivity, high-quality development has become a key objective for the industry.
Against the backdrop of globalization, competition in the carbon新材料 industry is intensifying. Countries are stepping up their R&D investments and market development efforts in this sector, striving to secure a favorable position in the global market. Meanwhile, demand for carbon新材料 is steadily growing worldwide, particularly in fields such as new energy and high-end manufacturing. The carbon新材料 industry boasts a long and extensive industrial chain, involving numerous upstream and downstream enterprises with high levels of interdependence. Therefore, companies need to identify potential partners, explore various cooperation models, and jointly develop both domestic and international markets, thereby creating a development landscape characterized by complementary strengths and mutual benefits.
Against this backdrop, the 2025 China Carbon New Materials Industry Conference was launched. At this conference, China Carbon Network invited experts from relevant fields to provide professional analyses on key industry issues. The conference attracted representatives from various organizations, including domestic industry experts, related universities, research institutes, leading enterprises in the carbon new materials industrial chain, and relevant media outlets, and received widespread acclaim and high recognition from participants.

Opening Remarks at the Conference

Speech by Lü Yue, Chairman of China Carbon Net

February 20, 2025, 2025 China Carbon New Materials Industry Conference & Customer Dialogue Meeting The grand opening ceremony was held, during which Lü Yue, Chairman of China Carbon Net, delivered the opening address. He stated that, against the backdrop of the nation’s proactive and steady efforts to achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality, China’s new carbon materials industry has made remarkable progress driven by policy support and innovation. These achievements would not have been possible without the concerted efforts of colleagues across the industry, and they are also attributable to China Carbon Net’s ongoing commitment to providing services in areas such as data empowerment, supply-demand matching, and technological innovation.

Lü Yue further pointed out that China’s carbon新材料 industry is entering a critical phase of transformation and upgrading. The industry urgently needs to forge a new development paradigm through technological breakthroughs, data interconnection, and ecological collaboration, thereby breaking the deadlock of “low-end involution and loss of high-end competitiveness.” By 2025, China Carbon Network will anchor itself in the role of “industry data hub and collaborative engine,” with a focus on advancing three key initiatives: 1. Upgrading data infrastructure to address bottlenecks across the industrial chain; 2. Deepening precision services to empower enterprises in their transformation; 3. Building an ecosystem to comprehensively facilitate cooperation.

“Ensuring that the value of every gram of carbon is recognized and that the needs of every collaboration are met—this is precisely what China Carbon Network stands for!” Lü Yue emphasized that the platform will continue to deepen and strengthen its role as the “digital foundation for the industry,” working together with colleagues to build a new paradigm for high-quality development in the carbon industry. We look forward to joining hands with our industry peers to jointly create a new, high-quality ecosystem for the carbon新材料 industry and contribute to achieving the “dual-carbon” goals.
